Read This If You Want to Achieve Your New Year’s Goals

It’s 2025, and motivations are running high! Goals and resolutions are fresh on our minds, and we're determined to check them off this year. Gyms are packed, books are being cracked open, healthier meals are on plates, marriages are being nurtured, and overall healthy habits are on the rise.

But here's the hard truth: most of these won't last. Many will fall back into old habits, waiting for next January to try again. If this pattern feels familiar to you, don’t worry—you’re not alone. And more importantly, it doesn’t have to stay this way.

Here’s an excerpt from my upcoming book that can help you flip the script:

“Have you ever set out on a journey without knowing your destination? Imagine driving in a foreign country you've never been to, trying to get from one place to another without a map or your phone to guide you. You'd probably feel lost, frustrated, and anxious. Without a clear destination and he right tools to guide you, reaching your goal becomes nearly impossible.

This is how many of us approach our health goals. We know we want to get healthier, lose weight, etc., but we often lack a clear vision of what success looks like.

God created our incredible minds in a way that allows us to think ahead into the future, envision what could be, and act in the present based on that vision. This ability to plan and dream is a gift that can help us live our lives to our potential. The very building you are in was envisioned and built in the mind before the first brick was laid. Architects create detailed blueprints and models to visualize the final structure before construction begins. Similarly, your health goals—and any goals for that matter—need a blueprint.

We are called to steward our bodies well, recognizing that taking care of our health is a form of worship. So why not spend the time and effort to set clear visions for your life, to create a blueprint that will help you take consistent action in the way you are capable?...

...Consider this: everyone walking into a gym has a specific goal in mind. It's what led them to sign up for a membership in the first place. But here's the twist – after the initial enthusiasm, many people drop off within a month, leaving their memberships unused. Did you know that nearly 70% of gym memberships go unused? It's baffling, right? So what went wrong? After all, They all started with goals; most of them probably had similar goals, like “Get Healthy,” “Lose Weight,” “Build Muscle,” and so on. And think about New Year's Resolutions – they're essentially goals, too. You've probably set resolutions like “Eat Better,” “Hit the Gym More,” “Spend More Time with Family,” “Read 15 minutes a day,” and many more. But let's face it; how often do we set these resolutions enthusiastically, only to see them fizzle out shortly after? Trust me, I've been there, and chances are, you have too. Now, don't get me wrong here; I know life can throw us curveballs. Circumstances can change, and our initial plans may not pan out. That's part of our human existence, and maybe it's God guiding us in a different direction. So here's the deal – give yourself some grace; life can be challenging. But for many folks, this narrative rings true. Setting goals is still important, but aligning them with a greater purpose makes them truly powerful.”

With that said, it’s time to break free from setting goals that fade as quickly as they form. Instead, let’s get intentional about crafting a vision so compelling it becomes your anchor when life gets tough.

As Jim Rohn said, “When the promise is clear, the price gets easy.” When you have a clear understanding of what you’re striving for, the sacrifices and effort feel more worthwhile because you see the promise on the other side.

Now is your moment to take that next step. It’s time to build your personal blueprint! I’ve created an exercise designed to help you connect with your future, accomplished self. By envisioning the healthier, more fulfilled version of you, you’ll dive deeper into the clarity and motivation needed to keep pushing forward. Take the leap and head to the website now to begin crafting your future and unlock the motivation to turn your aspirations into reality.

Your best self is waiting!
